Big Brother Africa Reveals Hotshots



Three Big Brother housemates are being introduced on a daily basis starting from yesterday 18th of September. Everyday new housemates are revealed. Some Big Brother Housemates for season 9 has been revealed today, see their profiles below.
Alusa - Kenya (pictured left)
 Actor, radio drama director and MC, Alusa from Nairobi, Kenya, is married and has three children. His favourite food is ugali with chicken stew and traditional vegetables. He likes watching National Geographic and Nollywood movies on TV and enjoys African music including Mafikizolo and Salif Keita. He loves the movie Training Day which stars his favourite actor Denzel Washington.Alusa, by his own definition is an “extrovert with discretion”. He promises viewers that coming into the Hotshots house as himself, is enough entertainment.

Butterphly - Zimbabwe (pictured middle)
Butterphly is a producer, radio and television presenter from Harare, Zimbabwe. She lists her favourite foods as meat, pasta with cheese, black-eyed peas and eggs. Her favourite books include the Bible, The Firm, The Long Goodbye, and the Sherlock Holmes series. She likes to watch Chopped, 24, Intelligence and Big Brother Africa. She hopes to make herself endearing, in a way that audiences can’t survive without keeping her in the Hotshots house.

Ellah - Uganda (pictured right)
Ellah is a sales assistant with a BSc in Business Computing from Nsambya, Uganda. She lists her favourite foods as ravioli, rice and chicken and her favourite books as Think Like A Man, Act Like A Lady, and Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich. She enjoys watching Reality shows like Real Housewives of Atlanta, New York and Orange County. Her favourite singers include India Arie, August Alsina, Beyonce, Rihanna and Sam Smith. She promises Africa a “cocktail of personality” with a rough edge.
 Goitse - Botswana (pictured left)
Goitse hails from Mahalapye in Botswana. ‘Home, Sweet Home’ is her favourite place – "the comfort, a home-cooked meal and my family just make it my favorite", She says the best thing about Africa is its history. South Africa is her favourite place outside of Botswana because she has ‘met great people there who have become family. They also have a range of interesting official languages’, which are similar to those in Botswana. she’s “happy to entertain you.” With a street-smart fashion style and a personality she describes as “vibrant, bold and outgoing,” she is sure to be another exciting addition to the house.

Idris - Tanzania (picture middle)
Idris is a photographer from Arusha, Tanzania. He enjoys reading anything by Dan Brown. His musical taste is quite varied, ranging from Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Usher to Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Lana Del Ray and Nina Simone. He admits to having a strategy, hoping that his fellow housemates will turn to him “when they want to be inspired or when they feel down.”

Esther - Uganda (pictured right)
Pint-sized student Esther hails from Uganda’s Nsambya. She describes herself as meek, bubbly, creative, truthful and loving as well as friendly and outgoing.Her favourite foods are mashed potatoes and chicken tikka masala. On books, she likes Rich Dad, Poor Dad while musically, Rihanna is her favourite. She likes The Wendy Williams Show and her favourite actress is Zoe Saldanha.
She says she entered Big Brother Hotshots to connect with people from different countries and to expose her talents. She’s looking forward to giving Africa a chance to see her ‘true self’.
